Industrial Noise Assessments:
Loven Acoustics offers a number of services relating to industrial noise issues
for proposed or existing operations, whether it is from noise generated on the
premises affecting local noise-sensitive receptors, or operational noise affecting
the health and safety of the internal workforce.
We have a lot of experience in identifying problems and designing solutions for
industrial noise affecting residential, and sometimes other commercial, neighbours.
The noise may be from activities on the site including HGV movements and loading, or
from specific plant and equipment on site.
In any scenario, we have the experience and expertise to offer cost effective and
practical solutions, which may include specific noise control engineering or site
layout and equipment location advice.
Industrial noise assessments are normally made against the criteria of BS 4142: 1997
‘Method for.. Rating industrial noise affecting mixed residential and industrial areas’
We have many years experience in assessing against this Standard, and providing cost
effective and practical solutions to meet it’s requirements.
If you require noise assessments for local authority or Environment Agency planning
and licensing needs, or for compliance with Integrated Pollution Prevention and
Control (IPPC) regulations, Loven Acoustics can assure you of a cost-effective and
practical resolution. We begin with negotiating sensible and reasonable criteria with
the appropriate regulatory bodies, and conclude with a comprehensive technical report
containing suitable remedial recommendations.
Martin Loven has carried out a number of occupational noise assessments in accordance
with the requirements of The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005, which came
into force in 2006 (2008 for music and entertainment industry).
Whether a small business with specific areas of concern, or large factory with
regulatory responsibilities, we can provide a comprehensive assessment of all work
operations, and issue technical reports highlighting practical and achievable
recommendations for improvement, if necessary.
